Key takeaways

  • Vertical AI ranks first at 88 of 100 on six measures fixed before any provider was scored. It publishes a fixed A$2,490 build with 15 test calls and a 5-day delivery, and loses most of its missing points on monthly price.
  • Valory and AiDial both start at A$149 a month, against A$699 for our cheapest care plan. Valory's terms exclude GST, which takes its entry plan to A$163.90.
  • AiDial is the one other provider here that states its AI is hosted and processed in Australia. Valory's terms say the service is primarily hosted in Australia, with some providers processing data in the United States and the European Union.
  • Technology Cue states the fastest go-live, 48 to 72 hours, beside a fixed A$1,499 setup fee. Its page gives no hosting location, which costs it all 20 points on that measure.
  • Voxworks sells a self-serve platform from A$49 a month and offers script design only on Enterprise, so it scores 16 as a managed service. It sits in the side-by-side table for completeness.

What a managed AI voice agent is and is not

A managed AI voice agent is a phone agent that a provider designs, builds, tests and keeps running for you. You describe the calls you get, the answers you give and where each kind of call should go. The provider writes the prompt, connects your calendar or CRM, sets up the number and watches real calls after launch.

The difference from a self-serve platform is who carries the work. On a platform your own staff write and repair the agent while the vendor bills for minutes. On a managed service the provider owns that work, which is why most charge a setup fee and a higher monthly price.

Read a managed offer in two parts. The build covers discovery, the call flow, integrations and testing before go-live, and it is usually a one-off fee. The ongoing service covers monitoring and changes after launch, and here one provider includes a single small update a billing cycle while another includes improvements every month.

Ask every provider where the AI model and the call audio are processed too. Two of the five providers in this guide state Australian processing, Valory names overseas processing for some providers, and the other two give no location.

How we ranked these AI voice agent providers

We fixed six measures and their weights on 8 November 2026, then scored each provider from its own pricing, terms and home pages read that day. A measure a provider does not publish scores 0 and its cell reads Not published.

Where a provider's terms exclude GST, we add 10 per cent to its price. Where a provider does not state GST, we use the price shown. A tie goes to the lower monthly entry price.

The best AI voice agents in Australia in 2026

We scored 5 providers that sell a voice agent built for you and list the 4 that run a managed service, in score order. We make Vertical AI.

It ranks first at 88, but Valory, AiDial and Technology Cue all score higher than us on monthly entry price, at A$200 a month or less against our A$699. Voxworks sits in the side-by-side table with its score.

  1. 1. Vertical AI, best for a fixed build price with a written test result

Vertical AI scores 88 of 100. We publish this guide, so this entry quotes only our own pricing, security and case study pages. A managed agent starts with a one-off build: Launch costs A$2,490 and goes live in 5 days, Integrated costs A$3,990 and goes live in 10, and Concierge starts at A$7,500 over 3 to 4 weeks.

Launch includes 15 test calls and a pass report before go-live, and a late delivery refunds the fee and makes the first month free. Integrated adds two integrations, a 25-scenario test suite and a peak-hour load test. Concierge runs a suite of more than 30 adversarial scenarios.

After the build you pay a care plan and calls at A$0.40 a minute. Essential costs A$699 a month with a next-business-day response and minor changes made for you.

Standard, at A$1,290, adds a four-hour response, a monthly review and changes to what the agent knows and where it routes calls. Priority, at A$1,990, adds a one-hour response from 7am to 9pm and a new call flow each month.

That A$699 entry price is more than four times Valory's or AiDial's, and it costs us 12 of the 20 price points. By default the call stays in Australia, from the audio and speech recognition through to the voice and the AI model, and recordings and transcripts are kept in Sydney.

Best suited for: A business that wants a fixed build price, a written test result and a go-live date before it signs. It fits a team that wants changes, reviews and load tests handled by the people who built the agent.

  2. 2. Valory, best for monthly improvements included from A$149

Valory scores 76 of 100. Its plans, read on valory.com.au on 8 November 2026, are Intro at A$149 a month for 100 voice minutes, Core at A$299 for 250, Premium at A$499 for 700 and Enterprise from A$1,299 for 3,000. Each minute past the allowance costs A$0.90, A$0.70, A$0.50 or A$0.30, cheaper on each larger plan.

Section 7.5 of its terms, last updated 21 October 2026, says every fee excludes transaction taxes, so Intro costs A$163.90 with GST. A one-time setup fee starts at A$990 and covers discovery, call-flow design, voice configuration, integrations, test calls and launch. Outbound calling is a A$99 monthly add-on on Intro and Core.

Its home page says Valory builds, deploys and manages the agent end to end, and that most clients go live within 3 to 5 business days. The monthly fee includes monitoring, maintenance, improvements and support, and most updates land within one business day. New customers get a 14-day free trial from go-live, and cancelling inside it waives or refunds the standard setup.

Section 12 says the service is primarily hosted and operated in Australia, with some providers processing data in the United States and the European Union, so processing scores 8 of 20. Its pricing page names MGI South Queensland, Knowhere Bar, CleanMade and Christie Migration Agents as case studies, and its home page shows a 5.0 Google rating with no review count.

Best suited for: A small business that takes a few hundred minutes of calls a month and wants Valory's team to own every change. It fits a buyer comfortable with some processing in the United States or the European Union.

  3. 3. AiDial, best for a price per call with the AI processed in Australia

AiDial scores 71 of 100. Its AI Receptionist plans, read on aidial.com.au on 8 November 2026, are Core at A$149 a month for 60 calls, Scale at A$249 for 150 and Max at A$449 for 400.

Each plan includes as many SMS as calls. Extra calls cost A$2.49, A$1.99 or A$1.49, and the page does not mention GST.

A call unit is a connected call of up to 10 minutes, and each further 10-minute block started uses another. Voicemail, answering machines and wrong numbers count, while ringing, busy and failed attempts do not. Outbound plans cost A$199, A$299 and A$499 for the same call counts.

AiDial says its team handles all the technical setup and that most standard setups are completed within 1 day. It tests the assistant with realistic call scenarios and your team before go-live, with up to two revision rounds. Setup fees sit in each customer's scope of work, so that measure scores 0.

Every plan includes one small knowledge base update per billing cycle, and larger changes are quoted. AiDial states the AI is hosted and processed in Australia, with primary data centres in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.

Its Compliance Pack, at A$100 a month, adds seven-year retention, PII redaction, immutable audit logs and no overseas AI model calls. Its live line is 02 6422 0000.

Best suited for: A clinic, salon or office that wants a price per call and its data held in Australian data centres. It fits a business whose agent changes rarely, since larger updates are quoted separately.

  4. 4. Technology Cue, best for the fastest stated go-live

Technology Cue scores 66 of 100. Its AI voice agent page, read on 8 November 2026, lists Starter at $198 a month for 100 minutes, 1 concurrent call and 1 number.

Professional costs $396 for 300 minutes and 3 concurrent calls, and Business costs $999 for 1,000 minutes and 5. The monthly prices carry no currency or GST note, and Enterprise is quoted with unlimited minutes.

Every plan carries a one-time setup fee of A$1,499. It covers a dedicated account manager, custom conversation flow design, script development, system configuration, testing and training, and web dashboard setup.

The page says agents typically go live within 48 to 72 hours, integrations and script and voice tuning included, which is the fastest stated go-live on this list. It mentions ongoing support and continuous fine-tuning without saying whether later changes cost extra, so that measure scores 8 of 15. Extra numbers cost $12 each, up to 5 on Professional and 10 on Business.

The page states no hosting or processing location for the AI, so that measure scores 0 of 20. It mentions end-to-end encryption and adherence to GDPR and CCPA.

Technology Cue is based in Underwood, Queensland, lists a Dubai office and says more than 350 enterprises have used its agents. It publishes no demo line.

Best suited for: A business that needs an agent answering within the week at a fixed setup price. It fits a buyer who will get the hosting location confirmed in writing before signing.

Results from an agent we built and run

The courtesy bus agent we built for The Mayfair Emerald finishes 98 of every 100 calls without passing them to staff. A driver accepts the booked pickup 95 per cent of the time.

That first build took under four weeks from the signed contract to the agent answering the venue's own number.
